Gregory Jackson is a PhD student at the University of Utah studying Modern Europe and the Middle East, focusing on French colonization and decolonization in North Africa. He holds an MA in French Studies and a BA in History from BYU. His thesis examined ironic use of misogyny in a collection of Novellas called "The Heptameron," written by French Renaissance/Early Modern Period author Marguerite de Navarre.
Gregory currently works as a teaching assistant in the University of Utah's department of history and as an adjunct instructor in history at Westminster College. He is scheduled to take qualifying exams in the spring of 2012.
